MMBRA Represented at the 2025 Provincial Championships

The 2025 RSEQ provincial championships marked another exciting chapter in the season - and MMBRA officials were proud to be right at the heart of the action.

This year, 20 referees from the Metropolitan Montreal Basketball Referees Association were selected to officiate throughout the various weekends of provincials, representing a wide range of experience levels and backgrounds. From rookies getting their first taste of provincial-level play to seasoned officials returning for another year, our referees demonstrated outstanding professionalism, game knowledge, and court presence at every level.

Spread across multiple weekends and age categories, the championships featured high-level basketball that demanded focus, teamwork, and consistency — not just from the athletes, but from the officials as well. Our referees rose to the occasion, showing poise in pressure-filled moments and embodying the values of integrity and fair play.

Provincials also serve as a key development opportunity, and we’re proud that several MMBRA officials received mentorship and feedback from evaluators throughout the several weekends. These learning moments are what help build the next generation of top-tier referees in Quebec and beyond.
