Accessibility Statement

MMBRA

Effective Date: September 7, 2026

The Metropolitan Montreal Basketball Referee Association (MMBRA) is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible online experience for all visitors. We recognize the importance of ensuring that our website and digital information can be accessed and used by people with a wide range of abilities.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

MMBRA is committed to continually improving the accessibility and usability of its website.

We aim to reduce barriers and make our online content, information, forms, documents, and services as accessible as reasonably possible.

Our accessibility efforts may include:

  • Providing alternative text for images where appropriate;

  • Using clear and consistent headings and page structures;

  • Maintaining readable and understandable website content;

  • Considering colour contrast and visual readability;

  • Supporting keyboard navigation and commonly used assistive technologies where possible;

  • Avoiding unnecessary motion or other elements that may create barriers to accessing content; and

  • Reviewing and improving website content and features as accessibility needs and best practices evolve.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time undertaking. As a result, some areas of the website may not yet provide the same level of accessibility for every visitor.

Third-Party Content and Services

Some content, features, forms, documents, media, and services available through the MMBRA website may be provided or hosted by third-party platforms.

While MMBRA will make reasonable efforts to promote accessibility, we may not have direct control over the accessibility of third-party websites, applications, platforms, or content. This may include external services linked from our website.

Where we become aware of an accessibility barrier involving third-party content that is essential to accessing an MMBRA service or resource, we will make reasonable efforts to assist and, where possible, provide an alternative means of accessing the information.

Accessibility Feedback and Assistance

We welcome feedback from visitors who experience difficulties accessing or using any part of our website.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, require assistance accessing information, or have a suggestion for improving the accessibility of our website, please contact us:

Email: info@mmbra.basketball

When contacting us, please describe the page, document, feature, or information you were trying to access and, where possible, the difficulty you encountered. This will help us better understand and address the issue.

MMBRA will make reasonable efforts to respond to accessibility concerns and provide assistance or an alternative way to access information where possible.

Accessibility Standards

MMBRA is committed to using recognized accessibility principles and best practices when developing and maintaining its website. We are aware of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which provide internationally recognized guidance for improving the accessibility of web content.

MMBRA does not currently claim that every page, document, feature, or third-party service on this website fully conforms to a specific WCAG level. Our website is continually being reviewed and improved, and accessibility remains an ongoing priority.

Continuous Improvement

We will continue to consider accessibility when updating our website, publishing new content, adding features, and developing online services.

Feedback from our visitors is an important part of this process and helps us identify barriers that may not otherwise be apparent.
