The Metropolitan Montreal Basketball Referee Association (MMBRA) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of its members, officials, volunteers, website visitors, and other individuals who interact with MMBRA.

MMBRA has designated the Director of Communications as the person responsible for the protection of personal information.
Because the Director of Communications is a position that is filled on a yearly basis, MMBRA identifies the position rather than an individual by name.

7. Email Communications and Mailchimp
MMBRA uses Mailchimp to distribute newsletters and other email communications.
Individuals may voluntarily subscribe to MMBRA email communications through the website or other subscription methods.
Current MMBRA referees may be automatically subscribed to certain MMBRA communications where those communications are necessary for membership, officiating, administrative, educational, or operational purposes.
Marketing or optional communications will include an appropriate unsubscribe option where required.
Mailchimp may process information such as an individual's name and email address and may provide MMBRA with information about email delivery, opens, and link interactions. This information may be used to administer and improve MMBRA communications.
8. Referee Assignments and ArbiterSports
MMBRA uses ArbiterSports to manage referee assignments and related officiating activities.
Information provided to or maintained within ArbiterSports may include:

MMBRA provides information to ArbiterSports only to the extent reasonably necessary to administer referee assignments and related officiating activities.

MMBRA may share personal information with organizations and service providers where necessary to conduct its activities or where permitted or required by law.

MMBRA maintains accounts on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
When an individual interacts with MMBRA through a social media platform, the information they provide may also be subject to the privacy policy and terms of that platform.
MMBRA does not control the privacy practices, data collection, or use of information by third-party social media platforms.
Individuals should review the privacy policies of the relevant platforms for information about how those platforms collect and use personal information.

MMBRA does not currently use a single fixed retention period for all personal information.
