ELEVATE. PERFORM. RISE. — A New Development Experience for MMBRA Officials

The Metropolitan Montreal Basketball Referee Association is proud to introduce a brand-new initiative designed to support the growth and development of our officials: ELEVATE • PERFORM • RISE (E.P.R.).

Taking place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Dalbé-Viau High School, this event promises an evening focused on learning, connection, and on-court development for officials at all levels.

A Complete Development Experience

E.P.R. is built to provide a well-rounded experience that goes beyond a traditional clinic. The evening will feature a combination of presentations, workshops, and on-court sessions, all centered around key officiating concepts and areas where we can continue to improve.

Officials will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn from experienced clinicians and supervisors

  • Explore important officiating topics in a classroom setting

  • Reinforce proper 2-person mechanics during a dedicated gym session

  • Engage with fellow officials in a supportive and collaborative environment

Whether you are a newer official or a veteran referee, there will be valuable takeaways for everyone.

More Than Just a Clinic

In addition to the educational components, E.P.R. is also about community. Attendees will be able to connect with colleagues, share experiences, and build relationships within the association—all while enjoying food and refreshments throughout the evening.

This initiative reflects MMBRA’s continued commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for officials to grow both on and off the court.

Part of a Larger Experience

E.P.R. serves as Part 1 of our Pre-CPA Camp Experience, aimed at helping officials prepare for the upcoming CPA camps.

The experience continues with Part 2 during one of our biggest summer events: the B.A.B.E Tournament (May 1–3, 2026).

Over the course of the tournament, officials will benefit from:

  • Camp-style supervision

  • Feedback from MMBRA supervisors

  • Exposure to National Referee Coaches and high-level USports & CCAA supervisors

This is a unique and valuable opportunity that is not often available, and it is highly recommended for officials—especially those attending CPA camps.

E.P.R. Social Experience

The initiative also includes a social component, bringing the full camp experience to life.

Join us on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 8:30 PM for the E.P.R. Social Experience. This evening is designed to capture the energy and connection that make referee camps so memorable—offering a chance to relax, network, and enjoy time with fellow officials.

(Location details will be confirmed on Arbiter.)
