MMBRA Announces 2026–2027 Executive Committee

The Metropolitan Montreal Basketball Referee Association (MMBRA) is pleased to announce its Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 season.

As MMBRA continues to grow and evolve, the Executive Committee remains committed to supporting the development of officials, strengthening relationships with our leagues and partners, and delivering high-quality service to our members. The 2026–2027 season also brings several structural updates that will enhance supervision, discipline, communications, and assigning throughout the association.

For the 2026–2027 season, MMBRA has refined its supervision structure to better support the continued development of officials at every level.

As part of this initiative, Robert Shaul will continue leading the development of rookie officials while also coordinating supervision and evaluation assignments. This reflects MMBRA's ongoing commitment to ensuring officials receive meaningful feedback and support throughout the season.

Greg Southward has been appointed Head Supervisor, with a renewed focus on leading the MMBRA Supervisors Group. In this role, Greg will oversee the continued development of our supervisors, ensuring they remain current with officiating techniques, mechanics, and evaluation standards while maintaining consistency with MMBRA, CBOC, and NOCP philosophies.

Carlo Del Bosco has been appointed Head of Discipline. A long-standing member of MMBRA, Carlo brings extensive experience to the role and will work alongside Michel Scantlebury to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities.

The Discipline Committee will continue to operate independently from the Board of Directors in accordance with the Association's by-laws. Shawn Alleyne has been appointed as the Board's liaison to the committee and will assist with communication between the committee and the Board, provide technical support for the discipline application, and help members with questions regarding the discipline process.

Shaun Pearce will serve as Director of Communications, overseeing MMBRA's communications strategy across the Association's website, email communications, and social media platforms. This role is focused on ensuring members receive timely, accurate, and consistent information throughout the season.

The MMBRA Board of Directors remains committed to meeting the evolving needs of our members and our basketball partners. As the Association continues to expand through new leagues, increased three-person officiating opportunities, and the continued growth of the National Officials Certification Program (NOCP), we will continue to invest in initiatives that strengthen officiating development and enhance the experience for officials at every level.

We congratulate each member of the 2026–2027 Executive Committee and thank them for their willingness to serve the Association. We also extend our sincere appreciation to all of our members and volunteers whose dedication continues to make MMBRA a leader in basketball officiating.
