ree

The Metropolitan Montreal Basketball Referees Association (MMBRA) is proud to announce that two of its officials have been selected to participate in this summer’s most prestigious national-level events.

Chanez Saheb – 2025 Canada Summer Games

Chanez Saheb has been selected to officiate at the Canada Summer Games, which will take place from August 10–16, 2025 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. She will be working the U17 women’s competition, representing both the MMBRA and Quebec on a national stage. The Canada Summer Games are a multi-sport event held every four years, showcasing the top youth athletes—and officials—from across the country.

Robert Shaul – 2025 Canada Basketball Nationals

Robert Shaul has been selected to officiate at the Canada Basketball National Championships, specifically the U15 boys category, taking place from August 4–9, 2025 in Oshawa, Ontario. The National Championships bring together provincial teams from across Canada, providing a high-performance environment for the nation’s next generation of athletes—and a vital training ground for the country’s top officials.

These selections reflect the continued excellence and professionalism of MMBRA officials on the national stage. We congratulate Chanez and Robert for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the craft of officiating. Their presence at these events reinforces MMBRA’s ongoing mission to develop, support, and elevate basketball referees across all levels of competition.

We wish both officials great success as they represent MMBRA this summer!
