MMBRA Officials Selected for CCAA & U Sports National Championships

MMBRA is proud to announce that eight of our officials have been selected to officiate at this year’s Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) and U Sports national basketball championships. These appointments recognize their excellence, dedication, and leadership on the court — and we couldn’t be more excited to see them represent the MMBRA at Canada’s highest level of college & university basketball competition.


🏆 CCAA National Championships (Men & Women)


The CCAA national basketball championships bring together the top collegiate teams from all across Canada for intense competition and crowning of national champions. The tournaments showcase not only elite athletes, but also some of the best officiating talent in the country. The 2026 CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship is being hosted by Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, BC, and will feature quarterfinals, semifinal games, and medal finals from March 18-21. Teams from across the country compete for the coveted national title and individual awards.


The 2026 CCAA Women's Basketball National Championship will be held right here in Montreal! Dawson College, located in downtown Montreal will host this year's women's nationals from March 18-21.


🏆 U Sports Women’s Final 8 Championship

The 2026 U Sports Women’s Basketball Final 8 — Canada’s premier university women’s basketball tournament — will take place March 4–8, 2026 at Amphithéâtre Desjardins, hosted by Université Laval in Québec City, Quebec. It marks the fifth time that U Sports has brought this championship to Québec City, a testament to the region’s strong basketball culture.

These appointments highlight their hard work, consistent performance, and the respect they’ve earned from peers and assigners alike. Officiating at the national level is a significant achievement and underscores the MMBRA’s strong presence in officiating circles across Canada.
