Shelley Quintos Officiates U SPORTS Women’s Championship Gold Medal Game

MMBRA is proud to highlight the achievement of Shelley Quintos, who served as crew chief for the U SPORTS Women's Final 8 Basketball Championship gold medal game on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Quintos was one of 12 officials selected from across the country to officiate the national championship tournament, which took place this past weekend at Université Laval in Quebec City. Among the selected officials, she was one of three referees representing Quebec and the only official from MMBRA at the championship.
The gold medal game featured the Saskatchewan Huskies women's basketball taking on the UNB Reds women's basketball. Quintos led the officiating crew as crew chief alongside Stephen Clow of Nova Scotia and Carriera Lamoureux of Manitoba.
In the championship matchup, Saskatchewan defeated UNB 77–68 to capture the national title.
Being assigned to the national championship game is one of the highest honours for a basketball official in Canada and reflects Shelley’s professionalism, experience, and dedication to the craft of officiating.
